The integrity of the valve will make or break your pumping experience. If your valve has been repeatedly exposed to high temperatures such as those found in a microwave sterilization bag, you may notice it stops fitting snugly into the base of the flange or the flaps do not open and close. The best way to care for your valve is to wash with warm, soapy, water and then air dry.
Like with any breast pump, the valves do need to be replaced. How often you replace the valve totally depends on how often you use the pump. We recommend replacing every 4-6 weeks, if not sooner.
